GIVING OUT OF CONVICTION, NOT COMPULSION

At Perth Revival Church, we believe that giving should come from conviction, not compulsion. The word Tithe simply means “A Tenth.” Tithing is our tangible and obedient response to God’s command – to return to Him the first tenth of our income. It’s not a transaction to gain His favor, but an act of honor and obedience, acknowledging that everything we have is from Him.

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,”
Says the LORD of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
— Malachi 3:10

We tithe not to receive, but to obey – trusting in God’s promises of provision and protection.

“Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;  So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.”
– Proverbs 3:9,10 

WHAT ABOUT OFFERINGS?

While tithing is an act of obedience, offerings are acts of free-will generosity – given above and beyond the tithe. The Bible speaks of the principle of sowing and reaping, encouraging us to give cheerfully in response to God’s grace and our relationship with Him.

“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:7

We encourage you to prayerfully and responsibly consider the offerings you bring. Give according to your personal conviction and your journey with God, not out of pressure. We do not encourage anyone to go into debt to give. This is a sacred matter between you and the Lord.

“He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV)

WHAT IF I CHOOSE NOT TO GIVE?

At Perth Revival Church, we do not differentiate in our love and care based on giving. Whether or not you give, and regardless of how much, we are committed to welcoming, supporting, and loving every person who desires to be part of our church family.

Giving is a personal journey between you and God. If you choose to give or choose not to, we leave that decision in the Lord’s hands, trusting Him to lead you.

“For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
– 1 Samuel 16:7b
